About Us

Cross Trails Cowboy Church started in 2002 with God giving two cowboys a vision for reaching lost cowboys and country folks.  They began by sharing the Word of God and a lot of prayer.  In one year the two grew to over two hundred people worshipping together under a tent.  God has continued to bless Cross Trails ever since.  We continue to see God changing lives through the grace and mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  God has blessed us with two buidings and an arena. Through the power of God, our Ministry Teams have been able to present the Gospel to hundreds of people.  We have been blessed to be a witness to many of these peoples' salvation through belief in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, and had the honor of baptizing them in a horse trough.

It is our prayer that you also can remember a time when you accepted God's gift of salvation.  The Bible says we have all messed up and fall short of God's standard.  It also says that because we mess up - sin - that the penalty for our sin is death. If you have not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior then the Bible says you are not part of God's family and destined to live a life seperated from Him.  In order to become a member of God's family and be saved from your sinful, messed up life you need to do what Romans 10:9-10 says, confess to God that you are a sinner and believe that Jesus died and rose from the grave to pay the price for your sin.  This is the most important decision you will ever make in your life.  It is also the very decision you have to make in order to start following the trail Jesus made for us.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of Cross Trails Cowboy Church is to reach the western/rural culture and those who love it for Jesus Christ. With God's help, this church will embrace that culture and remove barriers that have traditionally kept people from being reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As followers of Christ we will:

We will build a church family that provides support and discipleship for its members and those seeking the Lord.

Simplicity:
We will keep church structure, activities, and messages as simple as possible.

Culturally
Relevant: We will keep our services, events, and activities focused on the western/rural culture and those who love it. We will work using the team concept with other like-minded ministries in the Texas Fellowship of Cowboy Churches, Hunt Baptist Association, and Western Heritage division of the Baptist General Convention of Texas to further impact our culture.

Non-Judgmental:
This church will foster a non-judgmental atmosphere in all it does, accepting people just as they are, just as Christ does.

Power of the Gospel:
This church believes in the power of the gospel unto salvation of souls and healing of body, mind, and spirit.

Empowerment with Accountability:
This church will strive to empower as many people as it can to serve Christ through the church and bring out the giftedness in them while holding them accountable for their actions and commitments.
